Sony MW1 Play button not working

For some time now, the Play button of My Sony MW1 does not work. I tried restoring factory defaults. And even upgraded my firmware, again using Sony PC Companion. All the devices stored are removed, and now I am not even able to pair my Headset to a Mobile. Please help me
