Synchronization failed when trying Sony Ericsson Sync

Hi,

I saw that there are already a number of discussions about sony erricson synchronization but I cannot find one for this specific message: Synchronization failed.  It wouldn't tell me why it failed, it just spits out that generic message after I click "Finish" in the Sony Ericsson Sync Client Wizard.  I hope somebody there has answers.

hi mate i had loads of probs trying to set this one up , i just put it down to me not being a techno head! ha,   make sure you have turned on the sony ericsson sync in the data synchronisation part of settings and then try again, i had probs with setting it up because of user name and password in the end i had it e-mailed to me and it still wouldn't accept it, it works now some people might say its simple ...... but i wouldn't go that far!! lol

I'm getting that exact same error and it's driving me mad, I've spent 2 nights now trying to figure it out.

I backed up all my contacts to the website, upgraded my operating system on it using the provided software and now I cannot download them again. I did manage to get about 1/3 of them using my 3G connection last night but no more since. I've tried using 3G and 3 different routers to do it on different networks but they all fail with the same vague error. Have searched the net and found no useful information on it. I've also checked and rechecked my logon details and they are correct.

Any suggestions? This is getting quite frustrating as the website provides no other means that I can see of downloading my contacts.
