If I choose not to have my smartband connected with my phone, it still logs steps and sleeptime. I gues it does not log transportation? Is this actually being detected and logged by the phone?

Another thing I noticed is that Lifelog did log a small amount of steps when I didn't wear my smartband, nor synced it. Is that supposed to happen?

For transportation we also use the sensors in the phone so you also need to have the phone on you.

SmartBand should not log any steps if you're not wearing it or moving it. It will however count steps when it's not connected to the phone and then send that data to the phone when it's connected again. There may also be a delay before you see it in Lifelog as it first must sync. Are you sure that's not what happended?

For lifelog to detect transportation, lifelog need to be on/activated on the phone, yes?

Well, if I'm not wearing my smartband and Lifelog is on/activated on my phone it sometimes shows steps logged even though I never synced my smartband. This only happens if Lifelog is running on the phone. It seems like it uses the phones sensors to log steps. It's not logging all steps though, just a few hundreds.

It's also a shame that you can't see the distance when viewing your steps. Distance only shows up when checking the walk category and I'm not sure how that is logged. It's not the same as steps.

So today I've had the smartband on me all day, but never connected or synced to my phone at any time. Lifelog has been running all day on my phone. Since 11am Lifelog has been logging 1913 steps. At no point has my smartband synced with the phone. If it had, my sleep would have shown aswell.

I've checked this and it's actually normal for Lifelog to adjust the amounts of steps. There's a function that correctes the amount of steps and tries to detect repeated movements so it may sometimes add or remove steps by itself.
But that amount sounds high and Lifelog doesn't log any steps for me when i don't have SmartBand on me. Do you have SmartBand or SmartBand Talk? Which phone do you have any do you have any other devices connected to the account you're using in Lifelog?
