Updating Xperia L

Hi I am having problems trying to update my Xperia L I am on Build Number 15.0.A.1.31 so as you can see i was unable to recieve the update of build number 15.0.A.1.36 or 15.0.A.2.17 I have tried updating Over The Air but the phone says I already Have latest updates installed also tried using PC Companion but that also says the phone has no new updates. I am in the UK and havent recieved any updates from the day I took it out the box. The bootloder IS NOT UNLOCKED and the phone IS NOT ROOTED. Can anyone explain why I am having these problems?

Updates are not released for all phones at once. They are rolled out gradually for each country/operator and may need market and operator approvals.

This means that 15.0.A.1.31 is the latest version available for your country and/or operator. When a new version is available for your phone you will get a notification from Update Centre and PC Companion.

I have exactly the same problem as the original poster.  I am in the Uk, I've had the phone since Septmber and haven't ever recieved any software updates.  PC companion says I have the latest update of android 4.1.2 build no 15.0.A.2.17.  This is a virgin media contract phone that is currently experiencing the dreaded memory leak.  I'm hoping that this upgrade will solve this issue as well as add the 4.2 functionality.

Please dont reply with the same message as before about different countries updating at different times - this update is 6 week old!.  Please help me to update my phone and solve my problem.
