Why do phonebook keep deleting numbers?

Hi folks. My phone keeps deleting numbers from my phonebook. I'm going to send someone a text and suddenly their number just isn't there. Everyone else number is still there, though; it only seems to be deleting one number at a time. I don't know when this started, but it have done it as long as I can remember. Do anyone know why or have been in the same troubles?

I don't think I have encountered something similar before. Do you use the default phone and contacts app? Can you check if the same occurs in safe mode?

Yes, I use the phonebook that come with the phone.
I can try using safe mode, but it wouldn't give me any fast results. It could take a day, but it could also take a month before I notice any contacts are missing...

Do you have sync enabled? I guess somehow you could delete a contact from google or other accounts and have it reflected on your phonebook.

Yeah, I have sync enabled, but I don't really delete contacts anywhere. Moreover, some of the numbers keeps deleting themself many times

Really strange, any filters applied then? You can check under contacts.

I'm facing this issue ever since on kitkat. It was same on lollipop as well. I have disabled all auto sync but still randomly any of my contacts get deleted at any random intervals.
