Xperia L front cam vertical lines

What causes this vertical lines that appear when I use the front camera? I restartd my phone then it became good. After a while, the vertical lines still appear. I just bought it a month ago..

PLEASE HELP.

I bought my xperia l on 4 Jan 2014. After updating to android 4.2 and the other40mb update, a red led near the front camera started glowing and front camera is showing vertical lines. I went to the dealer and got my phone replaced from the service centre but the same problem started in this device too.

I TOO EXCHANGED MY HANDSET THINKING IT TO BE A DEVICE ISSUE, BUT I SAW IT WITH THE NEW ONE TOO... HAVE A LOOK AT 3MM SCREEN ON THE TOP PORTION OF THE SCREEN THERE U WILL BE FINDING SCREEN TEARING OR THAT 3MM PART IS RESPONDING LATE. FURTHER WITH THE NEW UPDATE YOU WILL FIND PROXIMITY SENSOR ISSUE WHILE MISSED CALL AND CALL TIMER ISSUE WHICH REMAINS 00.00 WITH ANY CALL DURATION.

have you updated your phone through pc companion or OTA.someone in this forum said updating via OTA had no proximity sensor issue

I too have vertical lines when using skype...please solve this issue.

If you go to settings-apps-all-camera,clear data and restart,how is it?

I think this is an update bug and only Sony can fix it. Or is it a hardware problem??????

My phone does NOT get dipped in water.

If repairing the software doesn't solve the issue then stop by a Sony repair center
