Hello people,
I have my phone set to always use Wi-Fi automatically if in range, and to use Mobile Data just when the screen is on (STAMINA mode in Power Management). However, my phone will not connect to Mobile Data unless I go to the settings bar and disable Wi-Fi, and then re-start the phone. I then have to remember to turn Wi-Fi back on when I want to use it. Very annoying
I have had the phone about two weeks, but this problem was only noticed the last few days. Having said that, I only started using "STAMINA" mode this last week because having Mobile Data on all the time was eating into my allowance. So perhaps it is because of this? However, I don't want to go back to having Mobile Data on all the time because I don't have the allowance for it - surely "STAMINA" mode should just work (it's a really good feature).
I've done all the usual re-sets etc... but to no avail
Any suggestions (keep them clean :smileysmileywink:)
All the best,
Paul
Yep,if you set your SP to connect to "Location-based WiFi",it will disable the Mobile Data. This is to avoid from data being overlapping. My suggestion is to turn off the "Location-based WiFi".But if most of the time you want to use the WiFi internet, try "Restrict Background Data" that basically turns off your Mobile Data(to avoid any charges) and only uses WiFi internet instead. This also saves your battery consumption.Overall, you can't actually turn on both Internet Source at the same time,it might conflict between each other resulting no Internet availability or making only one of the Internet Source being used.I'm not an expert but that happens in my previous phones.Sorry because i can't fully help you >.<
Hi there. My Xperia SP has started doing the same thing and I can't figure out what is going on...whenever I am connected to wifi I cannot access any data at all.
Did you ever find a solution to the problem?
