Xperia SP not charging

Hi All,

My Sony Xperia SP died 2 days  ago  ( well its 3 yrs old). Seems like its not charging. I have tried different chargers but nothing happening. All I can see is a a stable bright RED light even after hours of charging.

Things I tried-

1. Tried to reset the phone using the reset switch at the back

2. Pressing power off button and volume Up button

3. Phone not detected in the Sony Companion app

Can anyone help me to resolve this

There's a big probability that it's the battery, a physical problem that needs replacement.

Welcome to the community,

With option three the handset will not be seen until the last step where you need to hold down the volume - key and insert the USB cable.

If at that stage it still is not seen, then following @Quester's instructions are your best bet.

Hi.. my 3 yrs old sony xperia sp also having the same problem like 'thebigboy'. When charging i can only see a stable bright red light even after many hours.

Is it a battery issue ? How can i change the battery ?
