Xperia Z2 dock issue

hi, I have an issue with my xperia Z2, whenever I put it onto the dock, it is not charging. The charging symbol just keep going on and off, as well as the notification light, it only goes on and off. Please advise if there is a way to fix it, or it is an hardware issue?

Hi, does your Z2 charge fine using the USB MAINS CHARGER.......when you connect up the Magnetic Dock Charger do you have it plugged into the Mains Electrics or your Laptop, have heard that sometimes there is an issue with using the charger thru the USB on laptops, has to be used thru the Mains Electrics

Also have a good look/clean at the charging 'nodules' on the side of the Z2 & the dock....

The magnetic charging dock came with 2 fitting tray. Have you tried both?

there is no problem charging with the USB port. and when I am using the magnetic doc charger, i plug it directly to the wall. I am thinking something is wrong with the magnetic port?

Could be the port on the phone or a fault with the actual charger......i take it that the charger is a genuine Sony one? There have been a few issues reported of the actual magnetic port on the phone coming loose/detaching...does yours seem secure?

Be good if you could take the Z2 & the Magnetic Dock in to where you purchased it & let them try the Dock on a display model....that would at least narrow the problem down

yes, the dock came with the phone, I tried using another one, but same issue. I am assuming is the port from the phone. Unfortunately i bought the phone from oversea, and i don't know how much it is going to cost to have it fix in Canada. anybody would know the estimate?

makke sure it sits correctly in the doc by sliding it left to right till it stops in the middle when the magnets attract

just find out there is another problem with the phone, with USB charging, the screen will not shut off. it always remain on causing the phone hot. I am guessing I have to take it to Sony and have it checked out

The latest firmware 23.0.1.A.0.167 brought one annoying feature.

As the title suggests, I want to be able to mute the stupid notification that sounds every time I place my phone in the dock. It wakes up my wife when I dock the phone late at night on my nightstand.

Any suggestions?
