Xperia Z3 Plus camera resolution issue

Since I updated my xperia z3 plus from Lollipop to Marshmallow 6.0, in my supirior auto camera mode settting resolution shows only 8mp (4:3 / 16:9) but in Manual mode its show all the resolutions. Tell me the solution pls...

Manual mode should show all resolutions. Not sure what you mean with superior auto, I think it is locked to 8 MP on the Z3+. Let me try to find out more about this.

Welcome to the community.

I believe it is just as @alexdon says. I have just checked this on a Z3+ with Marshmallow and it does indeed only have 8MP in Superior Auto, but, based on the information I currently have available, this was always the case for this handset even on Lollipop. To get the higher resolutions you have to select manual mode.

you're not right !

Before the marshmallow update I was able to choose a different resolution on the auto superior mode on my Z3 plus.

I would highly recommend you to fix that issue or we need to be able to go back for Lollipop!

I did bought this Handset due to high quality of the camera, but now we cannot use it!

A good(high) quality of easy taken photos can’t be performed.

On the other side the is an issue and with the short cut option of the capture the screen after the Marshmallow as well.

Yes Petar_Tsonkov you are correct this camera settings irritating us.I have compared Sony Z3 plus Camera image and moto x play camera image and finaly I noticed that  moto x play camera clarity is very much better than sonyit's make me sad, moto have lot of future in camera App and sony don't have.Please provide good camera feature with best clarity in new update. I love sony very much  bacause of the camera now it's very sad........

use Camera Mx ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.magix.camera_mx&hl=en ) solved my problem now i am not using default camera application try this app :smileysmileywink:

I also have the same issues of Camera quality being low.

My old Samsung S3 is lights years ahead of this camara now.

If this camera app continues then never ever again buy a Sony thing..

This is my advice to all. ..

Actually it is sad to see Sony being a great company going in the way where Nokia  and Kodak has gone..

Hi Has this issue been resolved yet? my camera went from 21mp to 8mp after marshmallow update. Camera quality very poor now.
