z1 compact Google maps not working

Hi I've not once been able to use Google maps..it loads up fine sometimes finds my location but when I try use the directions function it loads it up but then is always trying to find gps etc and does not work as a sat navigation...it works fine on messenger app etc..I've tried downloading another maps app but problem still persists 😕

If this is an issue with GPS then try performing a diagnostics test on the GPS

This could also be related to the application directly. I suggest a removal of the apps data and then attempting the function.

Menu > settings > Apps > All > Google Maps > Clear Data.

If this does not work try an unstallation of the updates.

Menu > settings > Apps > All > Google Maps > Uninstall Updates.
