Some users reported that the screen cracked on its own, I have the Z1 and so far not a single issue, as for warranty, contact your local Sony

Just like to confirm that yes the Z1 has a self cracking screen. Mine cracked today without ever being dropped. Not happy as this is the 2nd Z1 i have. the 1st had to be replaced as the screen kept going  black and now this. £289 - £300 for a new screen

I move to the sony after I had problems with a samsung s4 when the screen cracked (not front glass) this turned out to be a common problem there are lots of cheap samsung s4's on ebay for sale with cracked screens.

If Sony are anything like samsung and I'm sure they are, they will not want to know i had to fork out the £125 to get the S4 screen fixed so I wish you luck.

After I've read of your problem I'm beginning to think why did I ever move away from an iphone as I never had any problems of that kind on them.

My other half told me when upgrading go for the iphone. I debated over the z1 and the new Nokia beginning to wish I had went the Nokia route now.

I dont know about you people but i've been using my z1 for sometime now, i dont have any problem with the screen but there was one time when i had a problem with the firmware. Few days later the sony gave an update and its fixed now. My z1 has fell (soft falling) many times but it didnt let me down. So cheers for sony xperia z1!
