As per the subject.
I've just backed up and removed a 4Gb SDHC SanDisk card to upgrade to a 64Gb Toshiba SDXC card. The Toshiba card is straight out of the packaging from a reputable supplier so I've got little concern about it's authenticity. However, my Z3 isn't so much as detecting there is a card in the slot, never mind anything else.
I've not been able to format the card or such as my PC does not have a card reader slot. It's literally straight from the bix.
Any help?
The phone still detects the old card so I don't think trying a different SD card would make much difference? I will try (although I don't have another card handy) but I don't entirely see what it will prove.
Hi @KazzyTI,
Welcome to the community.
The SD card may not have come pre-formatted, or may be formatted in NTFS where it needs to be in FAT32.
You can format it by going to Settings > Storage > Erase SD if you are on Lollipop.
It's a little more complicated on Marshmallow...
Go to Settings > Storage > 3 dots > Advanced > Storage > SD Card > 3 dots > Settings > Format.
If it is still not reading from here you will have to format it from a PC.
