My friend has just given me a xperia z3 after he updated it whilst on holiday and now it will not get service and it will not even connect to wifi i was just wondering if there is a way for me to put the previous software on the phone

i have tryed to do a software repair from my pc and there is no change
You can use flashtool or xperifirm to downgrade but it might be hardware related, you could contact your Local support
also, settings > about phone > diagnostics > test > test the phone
