Z5 Compact Screen Issues (Green Lines)

Started appearing after the latest software update. Comes and goes, but only when turning on the screen after a few minutes with the screen off. Usually able to get it to go away by turning the screen off and on a few times, but sometimes that doesn't work and I have to wait for it to go away on it's own.

Anyone else having this issue? Is it software related or a hardware problem?

I found this thread via search. Wife has had her US version of this phone (white) for less than 2 weeks. Screen started having this identical problem with green areas, sometimes worse (screen gets image blurred or something). I tried a factory data reset to no avail in case something got messed up after the Marshmallow update. I'm guessing there isn't just much else I can do and just assume it is just faulty hardware, like for the OP?

I can say that, the green screen issues is LCD/Screen problem.

I have the exactcly same problem too. and have to send it back for warranty.

They said they had change the lcd. And the green screen issues gone too.

Hi, I bought the phone less than 2 months ago and the issue started. If the screen brightness is anything less than full the green/grey lines and fuzz stay on the screen constantly and you can't use the phone. I managed to get 2 screenshots when the screen was full green/grey and the screenshot came out clean. ABSOLUTELY clean. Is this issue covered in the warranty or will I have to pay for screen replacement?

My 6 month old white Z5 compact is way passed the green stripes. The whole screen with icons, date and time and background screensaver is all compacted in the top 2cm of the screen and it takes between 15 minutes and 2 hours to recover. I am so done with Sony. This was my first and last Sony. I am VERY disappointed. I have done the software repair on PC companion. I will send it in for repairs now and hope for the best.

My screenshots are also clean, but I took pictures of the screen with my old Samsung. Very annoying!!! I took 2 hours to recover this morning and I am back on my old phone. I don't have time to wait two hours every morning.
