Battery Drain

Battery Drain

I have an unexpected battery drain.

It never happened before on any Xperia I've had.
Now even on idle it eats like 6, 7% overnight.
Crazy since it was always like 0%.

What is the process which can cause that?

Look at running processes in developer options and see which apps (not system processes) are constantly running. Facebook and FB Messenger will be two if you have them installed and from this list you might decide to ditch some apps.

In the morning, check in battery settings which app is consuming power.

Thanks mate.

I do check it always since I'm quite a conscious user of my phones.

But nothing unusual there actually.

This I know as well. I always monitor that.

The problem is I never had to close any processes exept Snapchat and Instagram to keep by batt life just perfect.

Now nothing new there yet the phone eats battery even on airplane mode even if it was like 0% through the night. And that's why I try to track the problem.

Hi,

It seems I have a similar problem with my Sony Xperia Z1 Compact. The battery is gettiung super warm and draining very fast. First when selecting flight mode it would help, but now out of a sudden not any more. The problem is getting worse because now also the touch screen and apps are getting blocked. Anybody any soltion or tip?

Thanks.

You shouldn't have to ditch apps that's the whole point of the phone! Get a Huawei they last forever

Hi, I am afraid I can't offer any solutions, only confirming that this is an issue. Over the last 5 to ten weeks the Android OS has taken the major part of my battery capasity, usually between 25 and 35 per cent. I event suspect it is more, as I have to charge the battery at least twice per 24 hour with moderate use and no kind of social media apps.

I'd be very happy to know if anyone knows of a fix to this.

PS: The OS 7.1.1 (with security update 1. September) and all apps have latest updates.
