Hello.
My girlfriend has a sony xperia xz 1 compact and recently she broken the screen of it. I can only see like 1/3 of the whole screen, and its not usable.
The problem is she has got lots of photos in the gallery ( not linked to any account or cloud unfortunately).
Will i be able to save the pictures on her laptop and if yes, how can i do that?
Thanks in advance.
You can connect a mouse through an OTG cable and you'll get a controllable cursor on the screen that you can use to upload those photos to Drive or any cloud service.
You can also use the mouse to ensure her phone is unlocked, then go to Settings -> System -> About phone, then click on "Build number" 7 times to enable Developer options. Go back to Settings -> System -> Developer options -> Select USB configuration -> choose "MTP (Media Transfer Protocol)". After that, you can remove the mouse and OTG cable and connect the phone to a PC/laptop via USB and copy/paste all the data you want.
Thanks for the reply.
The screen is broken i half and it does not display like half of it. Is there any way i can use a laptop to display the screen?
Sure, you can always cast your phone's screen to a TV with Screen Mirroring. I heard that there are some apps that you can install on your PC to do the same job via a USB cable. Google it.
