cannot remove Facebook

I like my sony phone, also just bought a new sony t.v. my third , but will never buy another sony product because on my phone i cannot remove face book why i'am forced to keep it i hate facebook . i supose they paid you to do it . please think about it i just told 6 people that the problem i had with facebook. with all facebook news lately. think about it , thank you.

Although you can't remove it, you could go to settings > apps & notifications > app info > facebook > Disable

I agree with you man why are we forced to have that garbage app on our phones.

Yes I know I can disable it but that is not the same as deleting it.....

I have a Samsung Note 8 which also came with a pre-installed Facebook app. I can only disable it. I expect this is a Google/Android thing.

I was a big Sony Mobile fan, until today. :..(
I think its a farce to paint these preinstalled and unremovable Facebook and Amazon apps as "convenience for the user" , one could also call it propaganda.

I don't want anything to do with neither of them.

This is my phone, I bought it, I paid for it so I decide what Software goes on it.

And despite switching these apps "OFF" there are still suspicious background processes running.

I already mailed my carrier to take this phone back, in this state, I don't want it.

In fact I don't want any Sony product anymore, not as long as you are in cahoots with these data miners and tax evaders.
