DT2W / S missing and other issues with Oreo

Hi Sony developers, I'm an owner of XZ Premium.

I bought the phone on Day 1 when it hit market and have been using it since then. Previously I used Z5 Premium, and after spending about 4 months with XZP, I have to say it is a huge improvement over Z5P. Great work!

I also ran into several issues that I hope you can take a look.

1. The double tap to wake/sleep feature is missing in XZP.
This is quite a useful and basic feature for everyday use, but is cancelled in XZ Premium and other X series phones. I did some search in previous posts on this forum as well as Xperia groups on Google Plus, but didn't find any official explanation. Someone says it's due to latest system API limitations because of the introduction of fingerprint sensor, but it's strange because DT2W/S worked fine in Z5P running Android Nougat. I've got quite a few Xperia fans around who also miss this feature. It's the power button saver.
Can you add this feature back in coming firmware updates, or give some explanation (even in dev terms) if it can't be implemented?

2. Light sensor in Oreo is too sensitive.
I updated my XZP to Oreo(47.1.A.3.254) after receiving OTA notification. Apart from the RGBC sensor and ToF sensor issues (I know you have solved that), the light sensor is too sensitive. Turning the Auto Brightness on and you can find the brightness of the screen changes quickly and drastically, especially under dark conditions. Auto Brightness is totally unable to use. Please fix that in the coming updates.

3. Battery drains faster in Oreo.
Under similar usage, my XZP with Nougat 7.1.1 can last as long as 8 to 9 hours (screen active time) per full charge. But with Oreo it can barely reach 7 hours. Seems that the background activity control in Oreo is not very useful.
