My GPS does not seem to work at all. Yesterday I needed my phone to navigate me, and it showed the same position for a minute. It also is very inaccurate. Right now I'm on the Autobahn, and for many minutes my XZP shows me that I am in some village. It really cannot be used for navigation, which is why I have to use my old phone now...
It does not refresh my position even though driving and is completely inaccurate.
Anyone else who has this problem?
Waiting for a software fix or I'll have to send it for repair
GPS stops working so now and then. freezing on place where I am not.
I had similar problem just today (and a week ago), restarting the phone fixed the problem.

That fixed it for now, thx.
same issues. mostly in Andoird Auto.
I'm quite miffed right now due to that the location service stops working every 20 minutes or so rendering my navigation app 'Seapilot' totally unreliable.
The reception is as good as it can be in the middle of the sea. No navigation data or satellite info is received in any gps app when this happens.
Restarting the app does not work, but the gps might start work again after a long time, but I usually have to restart the phone.
I replaced my Z3 that I have used for a couple of years as my main navigation aid with paper charts as backup, and this never happened.
I purchased my G8141 (GB) on launch day. I started having GPS problems a few weeks ago, in which apps like Waze and Google Maps would never get a location lock, or in a few cases get one after one+ hours. Rebooting, or power-cycling, the phone did not help. Running the user test of GPS returned Failure repeatably. I did a little online research and found a solution that works. It's a little inconvenient, so I do hope Sony can issue a fix.
First a little GPS background (you may already be familiar with this): Most smartphones have a feature that facilitates a quick location lock. This is with the phone acquiring some rough location data from nearby cell towers and, in some cases, Wi-Fi base stations. It uses this data to more quickly narrow down the location from the GPS sat data being more slowly acquired. In addition, the phone keeps record of it's locations, again to more quickly narrow down the incoming GPS sat data.
My fix is to remove the cell tower and Wi-Fi data inputs, and to flush the record of locations. This has the effect of forcing the phone to location fix solely on the GPS sat data being acquired.
To turn off cell and Wi-Fi location data: In Settings>Location>Mode, set to Device Only.
To flush the record of locations: Enter the Service Menu. You do this by dialing *#*#7378423#*#* using the phone keypad. Then select Service Tests>GPS>purge assistance data. Then restart phone. This has my GPS fixing location promptly.
I'm facing the same issue too, after updated I felt my gps can't detect where am I🤦
