HDMI output

Besides double tap to wake, which is a shame to be strippen away, does XP Premium support USB-c to HDMI output? I can't see it on the white paper.

Could someone who has both this phone and the adapter try it for me?

I'm in full agreement that XzP should support type C output the HDMI display signal wired! It's a great useful function, as the wireless approach, such as Wi-Fi Miracast™ DLNA Certified® Google Cast,  is a high hardware requirements , not broadly applicable to conventional display & TV;  as well as high definition is not well supportted, and diseconomy (devices is  quite expensive )

I've tested it using the Type C hub with HDMI, It's not work!

is any possibility to achieve this function???

So: yet another functionality took away.

Could, please, some moderator forward this request to the development team?

I just tried the usb c to hdmi adapter for macbook. Before it didn't work at all. But after a recent software update,  the USB host works. Nothing on the HDMI though. I used the original Apple adapter. Not any 3Rd party. Maybe HDMI works in the future. The SoC is actually very powerful and is capable to deliver 4K @60 through USB C. Don't know why Sony disabled it though. It's like when they disabled the FM radio feature even though the phone still have the hardware in it. And yes, I miss the tap to wake. Still a premium price!!!

Nothing to worry though. Because the SoC natively supports full 4K @60 out through USB. So it's only a matter of software update. We need to push them. Sony is kind of clever though. They disables some already existing functionality and gives it up in a later update. Customer feels like some magic  happed. Winking_Face

Haha. Check LG and HTC. Also heard Samsung have it on S8 series.
