How to activate Wifi calling
Hello there,
I want to use the wifi calling function on my Sony Xperia xz phone but I don't know how to do that.
Can someone explain me how to find the function on the phone?
Or do I have to do an update, to activate the function.
Kind regards Avery

Hi @Avery, welcome to our forum!
If your network provider supports VoWifi (Voice over Wi-Fi) for Xperia XZ you can enable this feature in Settings > More > Wi-Fi Calling.
If you can't find the setting in this menu, get in contact with your service provider (operator) and ask them if they have enabled VoWifi for the Xperia XZ!
I hope that helps!

Hi @Alienskayaker, welcome to our forum!
That post was made when the device was still in Android 7 and in Android 8 (Oreo) the option to turn on Wi-Fi calling is in the phone application and you can enable it if you follow the instructions below.
Single SIM users
- Find and tap Phone
- Tap the menu button (three vertical dots) > Settings > Calls > Wi-Fi Calling. If Wi-Fi Calling isn't available, contact your network operator
- Tap the switch beside Off to enable Wi-Fi Calling
Dual SIM users
- Find and tap Phone
- Tap the menu button (three vertical dots) > Settings > Calling accounts > Select a SIM card > Wi-Fi Calling. If Wi-Fi Calling isn't available, contact your network operator
- Tap the switch beside Off to enable Wi-Fi Calling
I hope that helps!
