Hello recently I had problem with my phone not charging. I had to re plug my charger many times till it started charging. This started happening 2 weeks ago but it wasn't very bad like today. Right now I can't charge at all. Just an hour ago when my battery was depleted to 0% I was able to charge after many times of re plugging in and out. My phone charged up to 69-70% till it sudendly stopped charging att all.
Things I have tried doing is using different usb C chargers. A of brand one didint work. A belkin USB C charger that one only charged up to 70%. My original Sony usb C cable broke in half long time ago so I haven't used it long time. Im using original Sony wall charger. I tried rebooting many times and holding power button and volume up. Still didint work. I have waranty on the phone but before that Im thinking taking it to local phone repair.
Sorry for formating and a very bad grammar. Im just exhausted this is my main phone with everything on it.
I'm sorry to hear about the issue, does the computer detect the phone? if it does then repair it with Xperia Companion
Also, does the phone charge if you turn it off?
HI I haven't thought about connecting to pc. Will I lose data? I used a ofbrand USB C charger very long time before buying a offical belkin charger. Can bad cable dmg my charging port?
For the second question I have video to share
First video is connecting charger when phone is turned off
second video is charging phone in safe mode but doesn't work
at this point anything is possible.
Even if it seems redundant you might want to try a brand new cable if that doesn't work you might want to consider repairing the phone with Xperia Companion, just to narrow down any software issues. Make sure to backup everything before that.
Ok so I connected my phone to PC and it reconized it and I can access my data and everything on my phone and SD card. But it ocasionally freezes while browsing my files and file browser becomes very slugish on my PC. It still doesnt charge tho. Theres' no LED light on my phone indicating it. I will try backing up now and come back with results

edit: I tried charging wirelessly and it works. I will wait for it to charge 100% if it does charge wirelesly
Indeed time to backup and repair

Ok so many of the backups failed like 75% of my pictures not getting backed up. My videos did not backup too. Could it be that I have moved them to my SD card? I esentially already have everything backed up on my SD card.
I have ordered a offical sony cable I hope its just my cables thats not working
You don't have to go through the backup process for Media, you can manually transfer them to your computer and/or SD card and/or Google Photos
