Hello everyone!
We tried out a new concept where we mainly let our community assist each other with product/feature questions in the Xperia XZ Premium board and it was a success! So, let's keep it rolling.
The purpose of this thread is to ask anything that you wish to know about the Xperia XZ1 Compact; other users owning an Xperia XZ1 Compact and forum staff will do our best to reply!
As an example, prior to purchasing an Xperia XZ1 Compact, you may be wondering if someone has tried out a specific third party app or feature on their XZ1 Compact, and could tell you a bit more about the compatibility and functionality as the app may important in your daily life. Staff and other users can come in and reply and let you know how it works!
The goal of this thread is to help each other out as a community. We will try to moderate this thread so that any new threads with a fitting question will instead be moved here, while we of course keep support threads the way they are now.

I have everyone known opties regarding updates and they are all selected on wifi only weird.
Maybe i should download pc compagnion and try putting new software on it.

I am new here but I have a question.
I recently bought a Xperia XZ1 Compact and it didn't come with a Quick Charger, so I bought a Sony official one but I can still not see any indication that it charges Quickly.
What gives?

Yup there's no differentiating indicator when a QC charger is connected. Rest assured the UCH12W is QC3.0 - if it's not charging quickly then ensure battery care isn't activated (an icon will display top left) - you can find more info on battery care in the app itself (found in Settings > Battery).
This Day Xperia Want to do update a gain again again. I do and rapidly system ask me to do again.... So what happen ?

Are you sure it is the same update?
Check the build number under settings >system >about phone.

Hello.
I have an issue with my G8441 XZ1c running the latest Central European firmware.
When I am on a call, sometimes the mic stops working so the caller cannot hear me. I can still hear them, but the audio never comes back. Toggling speaker phone, hold, mute does nothing. If I try to end the call, the dialer is frozen and will not end the call until the caller does it. I have tried every piece of advice from my carrier and Sony, and even had it repaired by Sony under warranty service (they diagnosed it as bad reception and replaced the motherboard). This has been going on for 6 months since I first got the phone. Done many resets. Thanks!
Does anyone else have problems with starting a new "Message" conversation? When I chose wich one to send to I can not come to the Message board where I can write that person something. It has always worked before, maybe something in the latest update?

The fact you've done resets I'd say it sounds like it may need another repair but to confirm does this occur when the phone is in Safe Mode? If it doesn't I'd recommend uninstalling one by one any third party apps that may interfere with the call (such as Skype, WhatsApp, Viber and so on).
My phone has lost the capability to store or use Smart Lock settings used to disable the lock feature when connected to certain devices or at certain locations. I can only guess this happened after the latest update.
The Smart Lock settings screen is empty, with no information at all.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any way to resurrect this feature ?
