So Sony, are you serious? Time reset when start up from 'required password when start up'.

After updated to 47.1.A.5.51 on XZ Premium, the phone clock still back to 1970s after restart. If the option 'required password when turn on' is off, it's just fine and show proper time. But 'required password when turn on' is on, the phone clock will reset, any help?

Note: Factory reset and software repair via Xperia Companion are not helpful.

this is for your security purpose. if you not like it you can turn it off.

go to settings >> Lock Screen & Security >> Screen Lock ( don't press setting icon, only click the screen lock. >> then draw your patten or Type the password >> then click the patten or password whats the way you want to lock your device. >> after clicking that it shows secure stat up. then you can click no or yes. if you click no you will not get password when stats up. if you click yes you have to enter the password.

please note what kind of way you use you have to put one time password or patten once you restart or start your device. you cant you fingerprint without entering password or patten in 1st starts up. that's mean if you restart your device you will on locks screen but you cant yous fingerprint at that time it required the password or patten.

but you can avoid that startup password required in above solution.

Don't forget to give Kudos.

So Sony just leave the bug behind and end up persuading users with a 'solution'?

The problem on XZ Premium after updated to Oreo is just like this. Even 47.1.A.5.51 can't fix it.

SOFTWARE REPAIR IS USELESS. Stop telling me to do so. It's just Sony Mobile programing bug.

oh boi. Stop raging with your capslock. Just a suggestion. I had many problems, a software repair couldn´t fix, until the last update. Then suddenly some things changed.

If it doesn´t help in your case, talk to your local dealer or the online store you bought the phone.
