Hi all. My new phone has volume level problems. The volume functions normally when the phone first starts up. Then, after a variable period of up to 24 hours, the volume drops to 10-20% of normal. I can just hear the menu clicks on max volume if I put my ear right up to the device, and call audio is too quiet to have a conversation. The problem is resolved by restarting the phone, but it kicks in again after awhile. I know from reading forums that this problem is quite common. What I want to know is, has anyone managed to fix it, and how?
Thanks all!
To Sony employees (not sure if they read these forums), I have read your replies to others with the same problem. Therefore, please do not reply saying my phone is defective and I should change it, as it is quite apparent this is a pervasive problem and the next phone will be the same. Also, please do not suggest that it's working as intended and that I should just compare to another XZ Premium to see if it's the same. What I would like to know from Sony is one of:
1) The problem is acknowledged and a fix is coming [insert anticipated date of fix]
2) The problem is acknowledged but no fix is coming
3) We're refusing to acknowledge that this is a real problem and you should go buy a Galaxy 8
