Unresponsive screen after restart

I started to set up my brand new XZ2 yesterday, downloading updates etc, and it was working but when I switched it back on this morning it wanted to do another Sony update. It was working fine then when it's restarted it recognises my fingerprint but the touch screen won't work so I can't input my pin and I can't een switch it off.

Any suggestions or do I need to send it back?

Hi @SpireiteRachel, very sorry to hear about this.

Have you tried holding the power button and volume up pressed for 10 seconds? This will force the device to restart/shut down and then you can power it on again with the power button and see if the touch screen becomes responsive again.

I managed to get it to restart and it's done another few updates since. seems ok at the moment thanks
