I know this is a hot topic for most and has gone from one Xperia range to another.
abit of background, I've owned an Xperia Z2, Z3, Z5, X Performance, XZ Premium and now a XZ3.
From the X Performance, I have brought the phones online, rather than through my carrier (Vodafone Australia).
Since then I have never been able to get VoLTE to work, Unless I flashed it with the Region firmware.
The issue here is, Google, Apple, Samsung etc are able to release different phones but as soon as you install your sim, it downloads the regions modem to the phone and your able to access VoLTE and Wifi Calling etc.
Why in 2019 has Sony still not able to activate this? Another reason I believe sooo many people have jumped ship from Xperia's.
I too was considering my XZP to be my last Xperia phone and was planning on abandoning Sony but decided to give make the XZ3 my very last Sony.
A simple firmware update with a Database with would solve this issue for all Sony Xperia users. Why cant you make it happen Sony?
