Is there any fix for this other than buying a usb-c dongle?

Don't is supposed to be known for excellent sound quality.  But this is pretty bad. Volume is far too low, bass is weak.  It just sounds weak.  I would like to be able to drive my bose headphones but can't get enough push.  Is there anyway to completely disable Sony sound settings so I can use an app to achieve better results? 

Or some update to give us higher quality and lowerl output?

I'd love to get more bass.  I've adjusted all settings and have tried various apps to no avail 😕

try "neutron" from the play store - the user interface isn't the best but the sound options are incredible, and there's enough to get your teeth into 😉
