Won't install update

Has anyone had a problem installing the current Android update.
My phone gets halfway then reboots and says unable to install update.
Any suggestions?

I have tried to update on 10 different occasions now since the last post and still with no success.

I am based in the UK and still get no update.

I know you said Software rollouts are a phased process but it is over a month now and I am very annoyed with this.

Unfortunatly because of this happening this will be my last SONY Smartphone

Also here in Italy we have not receveid the March security patches!

Very very disappointed from Sony!

Updates are basical to take the device protected and running well!

I've had this problem for ages now. I constantly have the icon in the top left telling me to update. I update, it runs the process, reboots the phone, then up pops the update icon again. No message telling me it can't install. I checked online using my e number and it tells me my phone needs an update so it's not just an icon issue. It's a real shame as I loved all my z series phones but this X is nothing by the the prever I al pain in the a. Maybe tome to go back to Samsung

Hi @Lauraeh,

If you still have your last Xperia, I suggest you to connect it to the PC and perform a Software Repair.

Personally I have always resolved major issues in this way.

I have tried the repair previously and it didn't work.

I have also factory reset my phone and it didn't work

I will be switching back to Samsung next year as this is a joke. Over a year I have been trying to get a response and I have nothing. Really disappointed in Sony.

Do you get an update notification and it fails? Or you always get "Your phone is up to date" whenever you check for updates?

Tried almost every week for the last 12 months. Have the update prompt permanently in the top corner of the screen.

Says verify update reaches 50% then reboots

Then says update unsuccessful

Then says update.

I have tried repair

I have factory reset

Sony said they had fixed it but haven't.

Samsung  I coming back!!

A software repair using Xperia Companion should definitely fix that. I strongly suggest that you redo it while your phone is fully charged and turned off. And if it didn't work this time then you should contact your Local support and let them inspect your phone.

try now with Xperia Companion but not work on; tried on new xperia x compact, thare are other solutions? thank you
