Xperia XZ2 Android 10 Battery Drain

Hi,

Does anyone have any information when Sony is planning to fix the issues arising from the upgrade to android 10?

Android 10 problems:

1. Battery Drain (battery usage 8h max on Android 10 vs 40h on Android 9) 

2. Alarm not working

3. Fingerprint to slow

4. App opening lag (settings activity open 2 or more seconds)

5. App crashing (Google maps, voice recording)

6. Mic problem (microphone low sound)

7. Speakers (is not possible to increase the sound to the same level as was possible with android 9)

Sony, is this your view of the problem your users are experiencing?

I was experiencing some major battery drain too along with my phone getting really hot, volume, alarm, fingerprint lock issues. 

Battery:

After looking at the battery usage in system settings, I noticed that the drain was being caused by Google Chrome. To fix this I first cleared all the data from the app in system settings. I then disabled the app by 'uninstalling' it from Google Play Store. Since its been disabled, battery life is excellent and no overheating.

Call volume: 

Restarting my phone several times seemed to fix the issue.

Alarm

Downloaded a different alarm app. Fixed. 

Fingerprint unlock:

The only lingering problem for me. I have had no success fixing the issue. I have noticed however that if I wake the phone by pressing the power button, the fingerprint unlock always works.

Conclusions

Most of the problems with the update don't seem to actually be problems with Android 10, but instead they are problems with Apps running on Android 10.
