Xperia XZ3 display problem

Hi,

Over the past few days, I've been having a problem with the display on my XZ3. A large part of the screen is covered with what looks like purple "interference" (see pic attached). It sometimes flashes, sometimes only covers part of the screen and sometimes covers the whole screen. At first it only happened for a few minutes and then was fine again, but today it's been like this for a few hours.

I've tried doing a factory reset to see if that would fix the issue, but no joy unfortunately - it's still doing it.

Just for some background - the phone's just over a year old, has never been dropped or got wet and its software is fully up to date (recently upgraded to Android 10).

Does anyone know what could be causing this display issue?
