XZ keeps crashing

Since the last Android update my XZ is crashing at leastonce a day. Most of the time it would just reboot right away, but 2-3 times it didn't and couldnt be turned on again (Power + Vol up). Not even software repair worked. After sometime of waiting I was able to start it again. But today it crashed with constantly vibrating. After holding power + vol up button it stopped vibrating but since then I wasnt able to power it up. PC Companion still not helping either.

repair the phone with XC (once more) and do NOT restore anything for couple of hours

I get to 5. but the phone isnt recognized. So thats where it ends...

Have you unlocked the bootloader? 

what if you test a different usb port?

Welcome to the community,

I am sorry to hear about the power issue, when you run through the software repair and you get to the instructions to insert the USB cable into the phone while holding the volume down key, before you do it, try holding the power key and volume up key for around 15 seconds.

Once done move forward with the step as instruction on Xperia Companion, remember to not let go of the Volume Up key after you have inserted the USB cable it can take some time to start.

I tried it, but still nothing. Also done all of the above on a different PC. Seems like it's bricked. 

By the way my Xperia Z4 Tab isn't recognised by the XC also or as a drive under Windows (works fine otherwise)

Ok, i kept trying to connect with XC and booting up with Power&Volup once in a while and then it finally did. Made a backup and was able to reinstall the software, but it seems like that won't be the final fix. It was crashing and rebooting again already 😕

If the device keeps restarting or crashing, then I suggest you take the device back to the place of purchase, or contact Customer Service within your region, they will be able to help you.
