Hi, I have the G8142 model and a few hours ago, while browsing on chrome, my screen faded to black (with a few white bars) and now it seems the pixels are mostly out. I can see some green here and there as well upon restarting the phone. I tried reseting multiple times and its still the same, so i am inclined to think maybe its a hardware issue. The phone was recently updated to the latest software version.
Has anyone else experienced something similar? I am not sure exactly what to do at this point other than contacting sony --my phone is unusable.

Sorry to see this has happened 
With what you have tried, and being unable to actually use the screen due to it's current condition, next step would be to contact your Local support as mentioned. They will be able to help get your handset across to a service centre.
