I am using an Xperia Z5 dual sim. Since upgrading from Marshmallow to Nougat, I have noticed background apps get killed quite aggressively. For example, before going to sleep I can see 10+ apps on my recent app screen. After waking up 7 hours later, the recent app screen only shows about 4 to 5 apps. Anything before the first app is killed, presumably.
At other times, when I am playing intensive games like Asphalt 8, my chat apps are killed in the background, especially Wechat. My friend sent me messages but my phone apparently never received it. No notification tone or alert whatsoever. I have to manually start the app to receive messages. This happens to Whatsapp too, voice messages not being downloaded even when I have full wifi coverage. I have missed countless messages because of this. It is getting irritating.
Anyone having the same issue? Is Sony aware of this?
