hi brand new to this this is what happened i put my phone (xperia z) on charge with the plug an cable that came with it (batt 13%) went to take it off an the charger had leaked all the clear substance out of the end all over the phone (charging usb point) does anybody know if this type of thing i covered under warranty. i think so its chargers fault the phone got damaged (faulty charger) can anyone shed any light thanks davie

Even if it is a manufacturers issue then it is still the responsiblity of your provider to remedy the issue as your sale of contract is with them and not Sony unless you bought the phone direct from Sony - If you are in the EU then the new laws which took effect on June the 16th called Consumer contracts regulations make it clear that the seller is responsible for repairs - So don't let them fob you off by saying it's an issue for Sony to deal with
Or if you went in to a shop then the same laws apply but they are called the Sale of goods act which still state it is the sellers responsibility to remedy issues
Not taking sides but pointing out that you may need an engineers report to proove it is or was the charger and not a faulty mains socket or a power surge
yea thommo this is it me contract provider already pulled the ladder an told me to leg it. that it was manufacturer fault (deffo) ha thanks for the reply thommo
