delete location from weather widget list

I am using the accuweather widget on my Sony Xperia Z3 Compact and can't seem to figure out how to remove unwanted locations from the list.  If I go into apps it is not there unless I "Show system ", even then disabling it does not remove the locations once I reenable it.  Surely there is a simple way to remove redundant locations?  Help!

Keep in mind that Accuweather it's a third-party app

Open the app > swipe left to right, long press on a location you are trying to delete.
