i was using my xperia that suddenly it froze and i could not do any thing's

so i tried to turn it off and on in order to solve problem

but when it turned off,i could not turn it on again

what i am supposed to do?

press and hold power & volume up for 10 seconds 

if that doesn't work 

press the red button under the SIM cover

Probably there was a process or similar that hanged which a cause this behaviour. You can use this key combination to force a shutdown of your phone.
