My mobile network data connection has stopped working

Hello, while using my Xperia z2 I suddenly realized that when I turn on mobile data, I can't connect to the Internet or Internet based apps. I'm not sure what may have gone wrong exactly but i've tried restarting the phone, replacing and even swapping the sim card with another service provider and even subscribing for a new data plan but nothing works. I'll just like to know what other approach to take to solving this. Thanks.

Hi @forWantOfAUsername, sorry to hear about this. Slightly_frowning_Face

Are you able to use these type of applications, for example Chrome and Google Play store when you are connected to a Wi-Fi network? If you are, I'd recommend that you start with downloading the internet settings in your phone, this will download and install the needed settings from your service provider in order for you to be able to use mobile data.

To do that, go to Settings > More > Internet settings, press accept and wait for the settings to be downloaded and installed. Once that is done, restart your device.

Try using an application that requires an active internet connection now and see if you are able to do to so.

If there is no change, try and reset the network settings in your phone. This will remove any paired Bluetooth devices, saved Wi-Fi networks and reset your internet settings again. So you will need to pair any Bluetooth devices that you are using with your phone, enter the password for the Wi-Fi networks that you use and download the internet settings again.

To reset the network settings, go to Settings > Backup & reset > Network settings reset > Reset settings > restart your device > download the internet settings again.

Let me know if that helps!
