There is an important question: if during charging Xperia Z2 in the docking station (with closed plugs) I accidentally pour water on it, which consequences will it have?
The point is that electricity and water don't mix. Getting the handset wet while on charge is dangerous, the water could touch the live output and at the very least blow a fuse...worst cast, fire or electrocution. It's just a big no!
You could short out the station at the very least, worst still, you could kill the handset as the water could cause arcing between the 2 connectors. Water and live/open electricity should NEVER mix.
You mean the whole handset or just some parts electrical parts of it? I know inside the handset there is a charging controller doesn't it has some protection against electrical arcing?
