After installing the update twitter keeps on saying can retrieve tweets. Have tried uninstallimg it and religious install but nothing works
Hello
After the latest update to Android Nougat 7.1.1 (Build 32.4.A.0.160), my Xparia Z5 Compact is unable to load any tweet from the official Twitter app.
I tried to restart the phone, uninstall and re-install Twitter and clear all saved data. When looking at the other forums, I see that many other variations of Xperia phones have the same problem and noone seems to have a solution.
Twitter support tell me that it is a problem with the Xperia variant of Android 7.1.1 and can 't help me.
Do anyone here know of any solutions or if Sony is looking into this?
Best regards
Thomas
Does this issue happen when using both WiFi and cell data?
Same problem for me and it looks like a lot of others are having the same problem... The photo is from google play and top reviews... Acording to Sony Support by phone they´ve never heard of the problem and says it´s a twitter issue?
I have the same problem. I understand why Sony-people says it is a Twitter issue but it is strange that this happens at the same time as an update causes so much problem with Camera, Album and Battery....

Same problem here. Very very annoying as all other Twitter apps are pure garbage... Sony this is the last phone I buy from you!
Mee too @gugui1969!
I've been travelling this summer and I am sooo annoyed that the update causes the camera to malfunction so all my pics end up garbage.
My travelling companion has a phone made på another company starting on S. The camera on that one works.
Twitter updated via play store but now it won't display the messages so after looking on Internet did a complete reboot of phone. And twitter worked great. Then all of a sudden I'm back to the same issue. Any help please, done the force stop, clear cache, undelete, install. Factory reset. With other issues I think I'll be getting my blackberry back out getting very tied of Sony falling behind. Mr Ericsson will be turning in his grave.
Apparently, neither Sony nor Tweeter care about fixing the Tweeter App problem. In the meantime I´ll return to a BlackBerry smartphone (the PRIV). They (Blackberry) pledged to do security and OS updates every month, and they have complied. Sony is too big a company to be nimble and quick to resolve a "non" problem such as this one.
If you go onto the twitter website using chrome for mobile and sign into twitter it should give you an option fir twitter lite, download that and it will be a mirror like version to twitter
