urgent help required

I tried to switch off my phone via the power button, as it was powering down it has froze with the Power off(shutting down) screen on it has been like this for nearly 2 hours now and i am unable to use my phone. ICan anyone help me with this problem please.

Hold volume up and power untill it switches off or under the right side flap is a red reset button
