WiFi Issue

Every so often while using my home wifi on 5g I begin to have a connection problem when the wifi icon goes from white to non white then back to white again indicating the connection is going on and off, I have to switch the phone off completely and this sorts the issue.

Any idea what causes this?

@cobbler

Could you test the phone in safe mode for several hours and see if you experience the same issue?

I could but I never can tell when it will happen again.

The only thing I can suggest is to repair the phone with XC or keep an eye on which apps are running/open when that happen

Does using repair on XC check the system files only for corruption and reinstall any if necessary?

@cobbler

if will only give you an option to reinstall the latest update

Trouble is that when trying the safe mode solution you have to restart the phone which by doing so normally would fix the issue anyway till the next time.

So I wouldn't know which third party app it could be.

Am I correct in thinking that the software repair option using the Xperia Companion I would be required to install all my apps again from playstore?

Yes, this will do a clean installation of the latest firmware and will also wipe your internal memory. Don't forget to backup using Xperia Companion, but preferably without adding apps or settings to the backup.
