I have an Xperia Z3 D6603. It's at least 3 years old.
Earlier this summer, I got my battery replaced, because it got fat. Ever since the new battery was installed, I've noticed some odd patterns when charging the device.
I normally plug it in once it gets to 4%.
It charges normally until it hits about 85%. Sometimes, it starts going up rapidly, and can go from 85 to 95 in about 2 minutes, skipping up in 3% intervals at times, and then it takes ages to get to 100 [about 45mins to an hour].
Other times, it gets to 91, and then it suddenly drops back to 88. Then it oscillates for a while before finally getting to 100.
Is this harmful for the device? Does it indicate some software problem, and if so, how do I fix it?
