So I have been having issues connecting my Z5 compact to my computer. I had a day that I could not have to have my phone so I backed everything I could up and did a factory reset. Once it was done I checked and the phone would connect, via USB to the Xperia Companion Software. When I connected my phone to a computer the notification bar USB connection icon would show up at the top on the phone. I thought the problem was fixed. I started adding my apps back in and encrypted both the phone and the SD card and now the USB connection drop down no longer shows up and my phone no longer connects to a computer (I've tried multiple cords, multiple computers, including Windows 7 and Windows 10). I've booted the phone into SafeMode and it still doesn't show the drop down or the allow it to connect to a computer. Does anyone recognize what is going on? Or, better yet, have a fix for it?
