z1 overheats

Hi has anyone been affected by this illness on their phone, I thought it was the sd card that was filled to the brim so i stupidly went and got a new one, still got the same problem overheats in the top left corner of phone. When this happens my music library disappears, no pictures, no camera and a very hot phone is anyone else suffering this infliction? And does anyone have the cure/medical advice on how to fix this. Many thanks

Take the phone to a sony service. It is normal to overheat when used intensely, but if it makes your things dissapear,it could be bad.

The phone getting hot is normal but it should be getting to the point where it malfunctions. If this continues it would be worth returning it so that it may be assessed by an authorised agent.

I would advise contacting your local Xperia Care team to clarify the local process for this.

I think i found out why z1 overheats, if you download films it stores it in the phones memory rather than the sd card?(i had to delete films) Shorly thats a bit of a design flaw by Sony?

This should not be an excessive heat issue.

Is there another way to use the sd card rather than the onboard storage, for me it looks like this is an ongoing problem with Sony phones, it happened with my arc s as well (overheats had to delete apps films and so on)
