Z5 (E6653) Freezes and backup issues

Hi

I've read through a bunch of treads, but non could give me an answer to my problems:

1 - my phone keeps freezing or get unresponsive, after the nougat update (32.3.A.0.378) - it happens about ones a day. I've tried to run a system repair through Xperia Companion without any help.

2 - after the last update my backup don't finish. It get's stuck at about 50 %. I've tried to change the settings but nothing helps. I've also tried the Backup from Xperia Companion - but that don't work at all. I can choose any of the three options, but when i click next I get stuck in the at next screen with the 'wheel' running and running, but nothing happens.

Anyone got any idea to what I can do to fix this, or is it just to be patient and wait for Sony to get some fixes out

I seem to have the same issue, also after the update although it seemed to run fine for awhile after the update (about 12 hours) before all broke loose.

I have the exact same problem. Realy hoping there will be an update soon to fix this.

For the backup issues, i had the same problem.  I was able to get it working by running a manual backup and unchecking applications, device settings and xperia home layout. After that was done, i ran the backup again but this time only backed up applications, device settings and the home layout. Once that was done, i had a complete backup. Hope this helps

Thanks for the input. This made it possible to make a backup, from the phone to my google account.

But I'm still having problem with the backup to my PC through the Xperia Companinon

Your welcome, i have never tried to run a backup from  Xperia Companion. I save my backups on the SD card.

Hi again

I've just opdated my phone to the latest version - 32.3.A.2.33 - and this seems to have sorted the problem with my phone freezing.

Comment: This was not the case. My phone started freezing / rebooting again after about 3 days. BUT I've know found out that by uninstalliong the 3rd party software - 360 Security - my phone have NOT frozen or rebooted for a week, the phone is much faster and most importent, the battery drain has gone down increadible. I don't know if this is the software or what but I recommend you all to try to delete the '360 Securtiy' if you have it on your phone - and see if this helps with your issues.

The backup issue is still ongoing. If I try to make an online backup i get the message that my storage is full, but I'm only using 2 Gb of my 100 Gb storage so there must be some issue with how Sony makes the backup. If anyone have a good idea on how to sort the backup issue, I'd be grateful:-)
