I smashed the screen on my Z5P and it went for a repair.
I got it back and the bottom speaker wasn't working.
The speaker was replaced but when I made calls using speakerphone, people could hear themselves bouncing back.
Phone went back, couldn't find an issue but then the mic wasn't working on calls UNLESS used on speakerphone but still the bounce back.
Mic was replaced.
Now I can use it but if I use it on speakerphone, the caller can't hear me, mic not working!
Please help!
I've factory reset it and done a software repair.
Currently running Android 7.
I'm ready to throw it at a wall 😞
Having similar problem with no microphone, Sony Xperia X5 approximately 18 months old. Was working ok but now its useless as a phone, microphone does not appear to work, if I enable speaker output the caller recipient can hear me ok, also phone works ok using bluetooth handsfree in the car.
Running Android Nougat 7.0, not sure when OS was upgraded or if the fault coincided with the upgrade.
Most annoying, if I have to return it to the shop this will be the second repair so wont be buying another Sony phone
Pretty sure this is a software problem, anyone any suggestions? Is there a way to test the microphone?
I think it has to be a software issue. She I got the phone back, I was told the mic was working but on speakerphone, the caller could hear themselves reverbing back to themselves like an echo.
Following instructions on here, I factory reset the phone and did a software repair.
After doing that, the mic now doesn't work when switched to speakerphone!
HAS to be something to do with the software??!
Wish Sony would sort this out!
try to perform software repair using Xperia Companion, and test the device without any apps installed yet,.
run xperia diagnostics , settings>about phone,
if those fails, it is suggestive of a hardware problem., have them checked at your local service center Local support. make sure to test device while in store in front of the technician
Done a factory reset.
Done a software repair.
Phone diagnostics say mic is working.
On a call, mic is working.
Put it on speakerphone and the mic is turning off.
Going to start from scratch, no apps and see if it works. Thinking this is software related
Try to deactivate"ok Google"
Ciao Thibaut
Made no difference, already tried that
Ah, it has worked for my z5c and the e5 of my wife... Regards
Thanks anyway 😉
Getting my friend to flash it back to Marshmallow tonight.
If that doesn't work, it HAS to be a hardware issue
Are you already going back to Marshall Mallow? How was it? Can clear the Mic Error? Thanks
