A37 in manual mode does not work

Hi,

Wonder if someone can help, I have purchased an a37 camera and when I put it in appeture priority, shutter priority or manual mode when I click the button to take a photo I just hear a small motor sound and nothing happens.

All other modes on the camera work fine.

Does anyone know if it's something I am doing wrong or is the camera fluffed

Have you checked if its firmware is up-to-date? https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/a-mount-body-slt-a30-series/slt-a37

I'd also suggest that you try removing the battery pack for at least 2 minutes, then trying again.
