Bravia Xbr-65a8g built-in wifi wont stay on

Android updated something last week, had to turn built-in wifi back on afterwards. Worked fine thru yesterday. Turned set on this morning and built-in wifi wont stay switched on.

Have power cycled both TV and router multiple times

Android v8.0.0 kernel 3.10.79

I can't see anything with a recent date but it was definitely an Android update last week

Any advice most welcome

That's kind of you. I would like to stay on here then, thanks 🙂

Yes a factory reset fixed it. Thanks for that suggestion. My TV is pretty useless without an Internet connection. Living in a tight mountain valley, even an over the air antenna can't pick up a signal

Thanks to all

Hi @foo123   I am surprised that your American model TV works in Europe. I thought that they had a different digital terrestrial tuning system (I am probably wrong). If you haven’t tried it, I would try a factory reset. As you probably know, your TV will not be supported in Europe.

No my TV and I are in the US. Does that matter for this forum? It's the only forum that came up in Google search

So I will remove myself from this community and look for an American one. Thanks!

Hi @foo123

I did reply almost immediately yesterday, with a link to the US community. I see it has disappeared, probably eaten up by the spam filter, as it was purely the link below.

Hi @foo123   I tried to send you the link to the US community yesterday and just now but it gets deleted by the spam filter. 😂

No need to leave this forum if you join the USA one, stay with us and then you'll have

the best of both worlds 😉

Did you manage to factory restore your TV?
